Construction risk is dynamic, with high exposure to adverse weather and natural catastrophes depending on geographic location, seasonality and project schedules. In this workshop attendees will learn how parametric cover provides innovative risk transfer solutions that are customised to take into account: value ramp-up, specific vulnerabilities of different construction phase, portfolio risk changes over time as construction project phase and values evolve. Case studies will cover: EQ for hydropower construction, EQ/cyclone for bridge construction, excess precipitation for large infrastructure construction in Australia.
