The traditional insurance and reinsurance markets are struggling to cope with the ever-rising level of climate change related natural catastrophe risk. Highly cat exposed nations such as Philippines and Lao are turning to innovative parametric solutions with state and regional development bank involvement. Increasingly parametric solutions are being introduced to bridge the protection gaps for climate risks and this workshop will explore why.
