This session will explore how claims influence insurance pricing with a review of the 2022 claims trends identified from the members of the International Association of Engineering Insurers (IMIA). We will examine some of the pressures influencing claims such as how the economic fallout from the pandemic and the war in Ukraine have combined to create an inflationary environment that is driving up the cost of commercial insurance claims, putting the issue of undervaluation of insured assets firmly in the spotlight as well as driving up insurance prices.
