Large losses on building construction sites caused by escape of water are now considered to be as frequent as fire related losses.  It is for this reason that the Construction Insurers Risk Engineers Group have implemented a guidance note on the management of escape of water.  The guidance note has been widely distributed but not always followed by the contractor but we are witnessing the insurance market making it a condition to follow the guidance as part of their quoted terms.  This session is designed to explore the key areas of guidance and the challenges faced by the industry to follow the guidance note.
