A graduate in chemistry from Oxford University, Steve’s early career was spent as a risk engineer. Steve subsequently served as Chief Information Officer and Business Transformation Director at the insurer, RSA. This was followed by twelve years as CEO at the Institute of Risk Management, achieving ten-fold growth and an international reputation.
Today, Steve is in demand as a speaker, author and very 'hands on' trainer and advisor bringing what can be very technical subjects to life with lots of practical examples.
Steve is actively involved with several risk, safety and health organisations and is a Governor at the award-winning University of West London where he also chairs the Audit and Risk Committee.
