According to McKinsey, hydrogen is a central piece of the  decarbonisation puzzle. Developing green hydrogen capacity will offer a more sustainable source of fuel for plants and equipment. Besides the significant carbon savings, switching to hydrogen-based power also helps to solve another of the industry’s biggest issues which is air pollution. But, with all new technologies and practices comes new challenges and the production, storage, and transport of hydrogen, as well as any by-products, is not without risk. In this session we explore how the construction industry is expected to embrace the use of hydrogen as well as the associated risks that may have an impact on the availability of obtaining insurance cover.
