The offshore sector is expanding rapidly, bringing complex and capital-intensive exposures across both hull & machinery and P&I liabilities. This workshop examines whether the marine insurance market is keeping pace with demand for offshore support vessels and specialist craft, while addressing the unique liability risks these vessels face, including crew claims, pollution, collisions and contractual exposures.
Presenters will review recent claims experience across H&M and P&I lines, including construction and operational incidents, and consider aggregation and accumulation concerns. The workshop will also assess future demand by geography and risk type and explore what insurers and risk managers can do to ensure adequate, sustainable capacity while effectively managing both physical and liability exposures in this high-value, high-risk sector.
