Tom is the Global Head of Hull Construction at Intact Insurance, based in London. He has been in the insurance market for 26 years and with Intact since 2021 when they acquired RSA Insurance Group Ltd, where Tom began his insurance career in 2000.
Following his time on the General Business Management Graduate Trainee Programme he settled in Marine and has spent the past 25 years underwriting across Marine Hull and Marine Liability lines and has built up a prominent position as a Lead Underwriter in the Ship Builders’ Risks segment. The shipbuilding underwriting is global, written predominantly from London across large projects and shipyard covers spanning Naval, Cruise, Yacht and Conventional vessel sectors, along with construction projects at yards for vessels and units in the offshore sector, including renewables.
Tom is also the business leader for the London Hull & Marine Liability portfolio, managing a team of seven underwriters and reporting to the Intact Global Head of Marine
