James is an underwriter in the Political Violence and Terrorism team at Allianz Commercial. He has expertise in underwriting complex, global risks and working alongside the multinational team on global programs. Prior to Allianz, James worked on the broking side at Lockton Companies, specializing in Political Violence and Terrorism, and Active Assailant risks. Before insurance, he completed a Masters in History of International Relations, focusing on Political Islam and the rise of Al-Qaeda and ISIS. During this time, he also worked with a NATO bilateral cooperation program, co-authoring a counter-terror reference curriculum and participating in a counter-terror working group.
