The world needs trillions to be spent on infrastructure projects such as transport, renewables, data centres, battery plants and energy transition, and governments in various countries such as Italy or the USA have initiated stimulus packages which therefore create a large concentration of projects. Many insurance underwriters when looking at a construction project are beginning to ask clients how they are going to manage the people risk and if there are sufficient qualified teams engaged to carry out the work. This session explores how contractors need to manage this talent gap in order to avoid exposures which could ultimately have an effect on their ability to deliver projects on schedule, to required standards and in a safe and ethical manner.
