In a world of intensifying climate risks, the insurance sector is shifting from traditional risk transfer to proactive risk mitigation and resilience underwriting. This workshop explores how tools like the Building Resilience Index (BRI) enable insurers, brokers, and asset owners to assess physical climate risks at the building level — and how this data can inform underwriting, incentives through pricing, and beyond assets, and embedding resilience across whole portfolios and systems.

In this interactive workshop participants will learn how resilience data can de-risk investments and insurance portfolios, ideate how resilience can be embedded into coverage design, pricing strategies, risk modeling and insurance products — turning compliance to competitive advantage and discuss real-world case studies of how BRI has helped identify climate-smart, lower-risk properties.
