Simon has over 21 years of experience in Energy insurance. He began his career in Catlin's Energy team in London in 2004 working on Upstream Energy and Marine & Energy Liability accounts. Simon relocated to Singapore in 2011 and was responsible for underwriting the Upstream Energy and Energy Liability portfolios. His experience has also diversified into other segments of the Energy portfolio and includes Offshore Wind, Floating Solar, CCUS as well as the core Downstream and Power risks.

Simon is a member of AXA XL's Singapore Executive Management Committee and has been responsible for managing a very experienced team of Energy & Construction underwriters in Singapore since 2022. The team handle AXA XL's regional portfolio from Singapore. Simon also represents AXA XL on the ASIAPEC Committee, SCI Construction & Engineering Committee and Singapore Renewable Energy Working Group”
