Tom ThornberryTom started his career at Zurich in 2011, working in Financial Lines Underwriting. Moving to claims a year later, he worked within the UK Financial Lines team and completed his legal qualifications whilst seconded to DAC Beachcroft. In 2015, he participated in a two-year secondment supporting the Global Head of Financial Lines Claims before returning to the UK and helping create the Financial Lines Claims ‘centre of excellence’. In 2018 Tom headed up Zurich’s UK Construction Claims team. During his tenure, he was heavily involved in Zurich’s Property response to the Covid-19 crisis. In November 2020, Tom was appointed Global Head of Financial Lines Claims for Zurich, with responsibility for all aspects of Financial Lines Claims, Credit Lines, and Cyber across Zurich globally.
