Richard is an experienced captive insurance journalist and respected commentator, having covered the sector around the world since 2014.
Richard launched the Global Captive Podcast in 2019 to communicate the varied captive insurance industry through a new and more intimate medium. It has since had more than 130,000 listens and become a unique resource of insight and content for the captive industry. In December 2022, Global Captive Media launched Captive Intelligence to meet the growing demand for credible and relevant news and analysis of the global captive insurance market.
He is also the Captive Ambassador for the UK’s risk and insurance management association, Airmic.
Richard was Editor of Captive Review magazine from 2014 to 2018, before joining Airmic and launching Global Captive Media.

Nick is the Head of Market Development at Lloyd’s. He is responsible both for attracting the world’s best specialty and commercial (re)insurers onto the Lloyd’s platform, and supporting all syndicates as they seek to make the most of the market’s unique advantages. He also advocates the market to a range of trade and institutional capital providers and their advisors.
Nick joined Lloyd’s in 2022 from PwC, where he was a Director leading technology-based transformations for specialty insurers, MGAs and brokers. Previously Nick worked at RSA plc in a variety of roles including strategic planning, global portfolio management and latterly leading Sales & Client Management for RSA's Global Risks business in the London Market and across Europe. Previously he spent seven years as a strategy consultant with Booz & Company, advising life insurers, commercial & investment banks and wealth managers. Nick also worked at BBC New Media, where he was part of the team that set up the Radio Player, the precursor to the BBC’s iPlayer.

Currently, Susan is the Global Head of Property for Zurich Insurance Group. In this role, she is responsible for the worldwide leadership, profitability, and strategic planning of Zurich’s Commercial Property business. Her extensive career includes significant positions at a major global insurer, where she worked in various international locations such as Bermuda, New York, Tokyo, and London. Some of her key roles in the Property and Energy sector have included: Global Finance Business Partner for Property, Chief Operating Officer Europe / Commercial Insurance, Senior Vice President for Property.

David Filippini is the Vice President of International Solutions for CNA. He is responsible for driving global strategy across commercial and specialty. His responsibilities also include leading the underwriting unit for foreign produced U.S. admitted risks, Defense Base Act product and the International Underwriting Center.
Prior to this role, David has been in roles of increasing responsibility at CNA. Most recently serving as the AVP, International Product Leader, David was responsible for international sales and distribution, worked very closely with the BU International leaders on key trading partnerships and the international broker networks. David also led the project with our international colleagues and partners to develop and document good local standard products that will be used for our global solutions.

Carin joined Zurich in 2012 as Strategic Assistant to the Group Chief Risk Officer. She held various senior management positions at country and global level within Zurich, including Head of Strategic Implementation, Operational Risk for Group Risk Management, Head of Professional Indemnity, Switzerland for Underwriting, and Head of Business Development, Transformation and Innovation for Commercial Insurance.

Jonathan represents the interests of primary and excess insurers based in the United States, China, London and Bermuda in high-exposure claims against directors and officers of public and private companies, nonprofit boards, financial institutions and insurance companies. He has addressed claims related to shareholder class actions seeking multimillion-dollar damages against public companies and their directors and officers, as well as other high-profile fraud cases involving a variety of issues.

Jonathan joined Zurich in 2004 in the UK claims function for Zurich Municipal before moving into Global Corporate Underwriting in 2006. In 2008 he relocated to Switzerland to support Global Corporate operations with target operating model and excellence initiatives focusing on preparing the underwriting units for the future. In 2010 Jonathan joined the International Programs unit, working across multiple functions including network operations, governance and global sales and distribution roles.
Jonathan joined the Global Customer & Distribution team in 2015 to head up broker strategy for Global Corporate before moving into his current digital role in 2019 based in London.
